To all of my dear friends that I've met through COLE's prayer team: I had a very scary day in my life a few weeks ago. I had just met with a neurosurgeon who told me I had a "lesion" of some kind in my brain, and it would need a risky brain biopsy to determine what it was. I came home pretty shaken, knowing that God was in control but not liking the possibilities He was laying in front of me. I went to update my Caringbridge site and was totally surprised and brought to tears by many, MANY notes from you dear friends, praying for me and encouraging me! Days went by, tests were done, ups and downs, waiting and more waiting, and you were there through it all! I want to say from my heart that it made a huge difference to me, knowing so many were praying. I felt carried through so many of those days - in answer to your prayers.

The outcome for me has been the best possible one, and I am so thankful to God. I know that some of the Caringbridge stories are not so happy in the end, and I hope I can encourage each of you to keep on keeping on with the prayers, even when the news is so heavy and discouraging. Those families need you, even as I did, and you are a lifeline for them, holding them close to God when they have no strength of their own. I'm joining your ranks on the C.O.L.E. prayer team, because I've experienced first-hand that it does make a difference! The gift that a sweet blonde-haired three-year-old left for us goes on.
